International UIAGM Mountain Guide since 1984 and Instructor for UIAGM mountain guide courses from 89 to 98. He was born in Genoa and, whenever he is not travelling, he lives in Corvara, in the Dolomites.

He has mastered some of the most difficult climbing routes such as Eiger North Face, Marmolada South Face, Petit Dru West Face, Fitz-Roy, Yosemite and Himalayan mountains. He has opened various mountain routes that are not easy. In 92 he guided a client-alpinist to the top of the Fitz-Roy in Patagonia.

He is a skilful photographer and writes articles to various italians and internationals magazines (ALP, Freerider, Powder, Vertical…). Guitarist, he has a passion for Argentina, steep & deep snow and Pink Floyd's music.
